How is a registration number structured and where do I apply for one?

The structure of registration numbers and the application process differ per country. Below is an overview for the countries where Natuurhuisje is active. Application costs may also vary by country and/or municipality. You can check this with your local municipality.

How do I know if my accommodation is in an area where registration is mandatory?

In the Netherlands, registration is not required nationwide, but only in a limited number of municipalities. You can check whether this applies in your municipality via: https://www.volkshuisvestingnederland.nl and https://www.toeristischeverhuur.nl/

In most other European countries, registration is required nationwide. Exceptions are possible, so if you are unsure, contact your municipality or local authority to find out whether your accommodation requires registration.

My registration number has expired or I am still awaiting approval. What now?

Contact the relevant authority as soon as possible to renew your number or expedite the application. Also enter a temporary or applied-for number if one has been provided by the authority. If your registration number has expired or is missing, we are legally obliged to take the listing (temporarily) offline.

I have multiple listings. Do I need to enter a separate number for each one?

Yes, each accommodation at a separate address requires its own registration number. If you have multiple listings in areas where registration is mandatory, please enter the corresponding number for each listing via 'Location' in your landlord account.
