What information does Nature House need from the host?

We require three pieces of information from the host:

• The property location: This determines which commune the property belongs to and which local rates apply.

• The accommodation type: Different rates apply to different types of stays, such as a meublé de tourisme (holiday home), chambre d’hôtes (B&B), or campsite. These types are defined by the French government and tax authorities.

• The classification: Most accommodation types, including holiday homes, use a 1-to-5-star rating system. You can apply for this classification through Atout France, which results in an official certificate. Properties without a rating fall under the "unclassified" category.
