What happens with my data?

Nature.house is required under DAC7 to annually report data to the Dutch Tax Authorities of platform users who receive income from renting out properties, when they are residents of an EU member state and/or when the rental of the holiday home takes place in the EU. The Dutch Tax Authority then shares this information with the tax authorities of other EU member states. As this involves privacy-sensitive information, we want to handle this very carefully. This means that the Tax Identification Number, which is required for reporting purposes, is stored encrypted. When you have entered it in the form and you save the form, the Tax Identification Number is shown protected in the overview of your tax data. The Tax Identification Number is also stored encrypted in our database. This means that nobody within Nature.house can view this data. Only in the reporting to the Dutch Tax Office this data will not be sent encrypted, because it is mandatory in the reporting.

Will my data be removed if I stop renting through Nature.house?

When you stop renting out your nature house but you still received bookings in that reporting year, we are obliged to still share the data related to the rental with the Dutch Tax Authorities for DAC7 purposes. If you did not receive any bookings or payments in a reporting year, then we do not have to share any data either.

What happens if I do not enter my tax details?

Unfortunately, we will not be able to receive new bookings for you or disburse payments if the tax details are not received, as we are obliged to report on the relevant bookings/payments. If you do not fill in the requested tax information, we are therefore forced to suspend your listing(s) from our website. If you have outstanding payments, these will be frozen until the necessary details are provided.
